The Intercept team within Public Goods at Stripe focuses on reducing the burden of respiratory infections. As a Science Lead, you will source and diligence pipeline opportunities to select the most promising broad-spectrum preventatives, develop views on the most promising approaches, identify new cutting-edge areas of science, and manage the grant/investment process.

## Responsibilities

- Expand the pipeline of BSP candidates by engaging with researchers, investors, founders, funders, and other networks.

- Diligence pipeline opportunities by evaluating science quality, development plans, team, and fit against our target product profile.

- Develop points of view on technologies and contribute to publishing a POV for the most promising approaches.

- Build and maintain the CRM to capture known projects and systematically learn about new projects.

- Support the RFP and investment process by publishing the initial RFP and driving projects from intake to investment/grant execution.

- Monitor and accelerate post-investment projects.

## Requirements

- PhD or MD in immunology and/or infectious disease with 5+ years of post-grad research experience.

- Demonstrated capacity to explore and evaluate a broad range of scientific topics.

- Experience with portfolio management, including portfolio construction and post-award management.

- Ability to translate scientific diligence into strategic investment recommendations.

- Product development experience and/or broad exposure via investing in or supporting companies.

- Experience with project management from launch to completion.

- Extremely self-directed, diligent, fast learner, excellent communicator, and action-oriented.
