## Description

BlackRock is seeking an Index Researcher, Associate to join their Global Markets and Index Investments team in Atlanta, GA.

As an Index Researcher, Associate, you will work at the intersection of index research, portfolio management, quantitative analysis, and data science to help solve complex investment problems and develop next-generation analytical capabilities.

Your responsibilities:

- Produce high-quality, forward-looking index projections that drive investment decision-making.

- Research expected index changes, upcoming corporate actions, and major index rebalances, and conduct statistical analysis.

- Define and build out a best-in-class Index Research Analytics platform.

- Collaborate with Quantitative Research to apply modeling techniques to address index investing challenges and opportunities.

- Be an active voice in the index portfolio management process.

- Partner with and support index strategy and product teams through benchmark analysis.

- Apply advanced data science techniques to complex financial data.

- Provide data-driven insights and thought leadership.

- Build strong relationships with index partners.

- Design and implement risk controls.

Requirements:

- 2-5 years of relevant experience.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.

- Experience with data science, data management, and data visualization tools.

- Strong analytical and technical skills.

- Passion for investing and financial markets.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Programming skills in Python and SQL.
