## Description

The Utah County Health Department (UCHD) offers an unpaid internship opportunity for students interested in a career in public health. The Health Promotion and Prevention Division seeks to provide experience opportunities for students at a local level within Utah County.

**Internship Description(s)**

The internship provides hands-on experience in public health areas such as chronic disease prevention and management, injury prevention, and substance misuse prevention. The intern will support community health programs, promote evidence-based workshops, provide health education at community events, assist with data collection, and participate in outreach and environmental assessments.

**Qualifications**

- Education in Public Health, Community Health, Health Promotion and Education, or a related field (current student or recent graduate)

- Preferred: Candidates seeking an internship for school credit or to gain additional experience in the Public Health field
