The Vehicles range from Minibuses to Class 2 rigid heavy good type vehicles, for which full training and instruction would be given. You will also be required to assist PRS's onto the aircraft, to their seat or into the ABM vehicles or terminal buildings which involves passenger and manual handling techniques. Key Responsibilities: - Complete the daily Vehicle Check Sheet, to maintain the operational reliability of the vehicle, reporting when necessary any vehicle defects in line with the Vehicle Inspection procedure. - Drive the Company vehicles ensuring that the vehicle is safe and secure at all times. - Operate the vehicle safely within close proximity to the aircraft using all safety systems of the vehicle. - Maintaining a clean and tidy vehicle at all times. - Ensure PPE is always worn when operating airside. - Deliver or collect the passengers at the aircraft door and assist with the transfer into their seat or wheelchair through safe manual handling techniques. - Complete Customer Care Agent (CCA) duties within the terminal when demand requires, this may include escorting passengers through the terminal/security and boarding flights or meeting arriving flights and assisting PRS's through to baggage reclaim. - Ensure that the Allocator is updated on progress of jobs at all times using PDA's and Radio. - Observe all Heathrow airport airside driving requirements. - Promote a safe and secure environment at all times. - Ability to operate and use all company equipment after sufficient training, i.e. aisle chairs, slings, porta-ramp, and tail lift. - Ensure accident and incident reporting procedure is adhered to in all cases. - Be aware of any airport updates (OAN's/OSI's). - Roster and shift patterns are subject operational requirement affected and influenced by the airport and airline schedules. - Must be able to operate the following shifts patterns include early starts, late finishes, nights, weekdays, weekends and bank holidays. - Always comply with airport bylaws when operating airside. - Carry out any reasonable task requested.
