## Description

We are seeking a Director – Principal Engineering Lead to join our team at DWS Group in Pune, India.

As a Director – Principal Engineering Lead, you will lead the engineering, design, and delivery of digital platforms and manage or perform work across multiple areas of the bank's overall IT Platform/Infrastructure, including analysis, development, and administration.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and develop entire engineering solutions to accomplish business goals

- Build reliability and resiliency into solutions with appropriate testing and reviewing throughout the delivery lifecycle

- Ensure maintainability and reusability of engineering solutions

- Ensure solutions are well-architected and can be integrated successfully into the end-to-end business process flow

- Review engineering plans and quality to drive re-use and improve engineering capability

- Participate in industry forums to drive adoption of innovative technologies, tools, and solutions in the Bank

- Architect, develop, and maintain UI components using React.js and JavaScript

- Define and enforce best practices for UI development, coding standards, and performance optimization

- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product managers, and backend developers to deliver seamless responsive interfaces

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

- Drive code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing processes

- Contribute to architecture and design decisions for scalable frontend systems and own performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility

Requirements:

- 15-20 years of hands-on technical and functional experience in financial industry app development with technologies such as Java, Springboot, React JS, Kafka, Cloud, CI/CD, Dev Ops, Test Automation

- Progressive engineering hands-on development experience to lead engineering teams with enterprise-scale applications

- Strong Agile skills with running Dev Ops, IT Risk and control, SRE scrum teams and squads

Nice to Have:

- Experience with people development with respect to training, upskilling, providing right opportunities within India and global squads

- Promotes engineering culture and improves productivity amongst India FTE and vendor staff

- Dynamic resource management and close collaboration with DWS global tech and product teams

- Excellent skills and appetite to maintain risk & control hygiene

- Knowledge in Banking Payment systems will be a huge plus
