## Description

As a Group Compliance Lead at Wise, you will play a key role in shaping the company's compliance strategy and infrastructure.

You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and compliance specialists to translate regulatory obligations into product decisions that are scalable, defensible, and globally consistent.

Your main responsibilities will include:

- Developing and implementing compliance strategies for core product flows

- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory obligations are accurately reflected in Wise's systems and controls

- Staying up-to-date with global payment standards and ensuring Wise's product and data infrastructure keeps pace

- Building relationships with product, policy, and compliance teams globally to maintain a consistent view of obligations across markets

- Helping to define and scale assurance frameworks that give Wise confidence its controls are working

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Deep fintech compliance experience, with a track record of working directly in product teams

- Strong technical skills, with the ability to navigate codebases and engineering discussions

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to synthesise complex regulatory issues into clear positions for non-specialists

- Experience influencing decisions across legal, engineering, and product at senior levels

- Familiarity with payment scheme rules, multi-entity or multi-licence compliance structures, and KYC and identity verification frameworks
