## Job Summary

As a Business Development Manager, Private Equity Partners at Carta, you will expand Carta's distribution and market share by deepening relationships with key channel partners and developing new ones. You will represent Carta as a valuable contributor to the Private Funds ecosystem, driving Private Equity and Private Credit fund penetration.

## Key Responsibilities

- Create champions for Carta's fund administration products within the investment management ecosystem by partnering with and developing scalable strategies for partners that support upmarket and mid-market private funds

- Work cross-functionally with Product, Delivery, Engineering, Implementations, Support, Sales, and Marketing to collect feedback and drive cross-functional conversations

- Develop and execute strategies to convert partners into preferred partners

- Coordinate with the Sales team to activate mutual books of business with partners

- Lead discovery on additional paths for Carta to add value to partners and drive new business

- Drive non-linear referral motions with partners to increase referrals

- Create awareness of Carta's fund and investor tools for private equity and private credit funds

- Represent Carta in the field, meeting with current and prospective partners and attending industry events (up to 25% travel)

## Requirements

- Outgoing, natural networker with experience in building and maintaining relationships

- Knowledge of Private Equity and Private Credit funds and the broader industry

- Familiarity with how partners support private funds

- Strong communication, presentation, and networking skills

## Nice-to-Have

- Relevant network of contacts within the community

- Prior experience building relationships or servicing funds as an industry partner

- Understanding of fund formation, regulations, fund administration, fundraising, or valuation services

## Salary
