## Description

As a Charge Nurse at Lakefieild Neurological Centre in Chigwell, you will be responsible for motivating, supporting, and managing a team of nurses to ensure smooth daily operations of the department. You will lead in a neurological setting, providing high-quality care to individuals with long-term neurological conditions, including those recovering from traumatic injuries.

Responsibilities include:

- Delegating nursing tasks to Nurses working in the unit and coordinating with other teams

- Monitoring service users' conditions and responding to changes

- Supervising other members within the team's unit and providing guidance and support

- Making critical decisions regarding service user assignments, staff scheduling, and resource allocation

- Being a liaison between nursing staff and other healthcare professionals, with effective communication and collaboration

This role will include 50% clinical and 50% managerial responsibility.

Requirements:

- A relevant nursing qualification

- NMC registration

- Strong Neuro experience at Charge Nurse/Ward sister level

- Tracheostomy, ventilator, PEG, catheter care competent practitioner

- Experience in leading a team within the complex Neurological/Respiratory care environment

- A positive attitude and being naturally caring and compassionate

- A commitment to high-quality care and to values and evidence-based practice

- Relevant experience in a similar environment

- Proven track record of leadership skills
