## Description

We are seeking a Care Assistant to join our team at Tenterden House Care Home in St Albans. As a Care Assistant, you will be at the heart of our organisation, providing person-centred care that supports independence and honours choice.

Tenterden House provides long and short-stay residential and nursing care for older people with a wide range of care needs. The home is set in 13 acres of beautiful gardens and offers a warm and homely environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Supporting residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care

- Observing and managing residents' behaviour with care and ensuring documentation and reporting of any changes

- Supporting residents' nutrition and hydration needs

- Providing essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities

- Maintaining accurate care plans in line with regulatory and legal requirements

We are looking for someone with motivation, positivity, and great interpersonal skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential. Previous experience in a care home environment or a Health and Social Care qualification is desirable.

The salary for this role is £13.30 - £14.30 per hour, depending on experience.
