## Description

We are seeking a qualified Customs Administrator to join our Trade Compliance Department at American Honda Motor Company in Lincoln, Alabama. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and managing customs clearance, supporting local content reporting activities, and assisting with other daily tasks.

The Trade Compliance Department implements and coordinates compliance and supply chain security activities relating to all import and export activity done by or on behalf of AHM, HDMA, HPD, HACI, and Honda Aero. The Customs Administrator will play a key role in ensuring compliance with US Customs and Border Protection regulations, as well as other government agencies.

Key responsibilities include:

- Supporting department operations relative to import and export functions, supply chain security, and preferential trade programs

- Managing customs clearance of imported merchandise and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

- Assisting with local content reporting activities and interacting with suppliers to gather detailed part cost data

- Continuously learning and developing technical aspects of international trade and customs, as well as Honda's business objectives and operations

- Developing and maintaining written instructions, operation standards, and training documents to support governmental audits and verification

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in International Business, Business Administration, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. They will also have 0-3 years of experience in import/export and trade compliance, preferably within the automotive industry. Other desired skills and qualifications include:

- Analytical, compliance-minded, detail-oriented, and organizational skills

- Knowledge of US Customs & Border Protection regulations and programs

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
