## Description

You will be joining Sun Life, a company driven by its purpose to help clients achieve lifetime financial security and live healthier lives.

Your role as a Medical Underwriter involves performing risk assessments of medical cases up to a specified authorization limit, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, providing support to sellers, reviewing underwriters' work, and handling ad-hoc assignments.

Responsibilities:

- Perform risk assessment of medical case up to the specified authorization limit

- Ensure assigned new business tasks comply with company's New Business Policy & Procedures, Underwriting Guideline and Rule Book, and service pledge

- Provide seller enquiries support

- Review Underwriters' work if required

- Provide second approval of referred applications from Underwriters

- Assist Team Leader or Managers in tracking application requests and producing monitoring and control reports

- Handle ad-hoc assignments

Qualifications and preferred skills:

- University degree holder

- Competent knowledge of medical aspects, including anatomy, physiology, disease, medical abbreviations, and terminology

- Uphold substandard medical underwriting authority

- Competent knowledge of financial and medical underwriting

- Proficiency in PC skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access

- Good spoken and written English and Chinese communication skills

- Customer-oriented mindset
