As a General Merchandise Expert, you will be responsible for creating an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience. Your main tasks will include:

- Greeting guests and providing a warm, helpful interaction

- Helping guests find what they need and resolving issues to ensure a smooth shopping experience

- Executing daily tasks such as receiving products, restocking shelves, and maintaining the sales floor and backroom

- Operating power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures if certified

- Learning and executing operational procedures to manage product accuracy and stock levels

- Following all Target policies and safety procedures

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop skills in guest service fundamentals, retail business fundamentals, and process efficiency and improvement.

**Requirements:**

- Welcoming and helpful attitude towards all guests and team members

- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment

- Ability to work both independently and with a team

- Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes

- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment

**Physical demands:**

- Climbing up and down ladders

- Scanning, handling, and moving merchandise efficiently and safely, including lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds

- Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
