## Description

As a Senior Manager, Data Science at Capital One, you'll lead the next wave of disruption using the latest computing and machine learning technologies. You'll work on the Business Cards & Payments Credit Infrastructure team, informing underwriting and marketing decisions behind Small Business card products.

**Responsibilities:**

- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver products customers love

- Leverage technologies like Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark to reveal insights in large datasets

- Build machine learning models through all phases of development

- Translate complex work into tangible business goals

**Requirements:**

- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science)

- At least 2 years of experience leveraging open source programming languages for large-scale data analysis

- At least 2 years of experience working with machine learning

- At least 2 years of experience utilizing relational databases

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- PhD in STEM field plus 4 years of experience in data analytics

- Experience working with AWS, managing people, or using Python, Scala, or R for large-scale data analysis

- Experience with econometrics, causal inference, or reinforcement learning

**Salary:** $229,900 - $262,400 per year
