## Description

Leidos Defense Systems Electrical Manufacturing is seeking a 2nd shift Material Control Specialist to join the team that supports assembly of various hardware.

The successful candidate will work with lab managers and technicians to maintain delivery schedules and due dates, manage material movement, generate serial numbers for subassemblies, organise and verify kits, and prep parts for use.

Key responsibilities include:

- Working with lab managers and lab technicians to support production efforts

- Managing material movement in and out of labs

- Generating serial numbers for subassemblies

- Organising and verifying kits

- Preparing parts for use

- Escalating kit shortages or problems

- Packaging completed electrical assemblies

- Tracking and moving electronic subassemblies

- Performing computer transactions to document material movements

- Utilising visual management standards for labelling and staging totes

- Assisting and training lower-level support employees

- Working in a team environment and interacting with different functions

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years of prior relevant experience in inventory management or materials management.

Required qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- 3-5 years of prior relevant experience in inventory management or materials management

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

- US Citizenship and a Final Secret Clearance or eligibility to obtain one

Preferred qualifications:

- Experience working in Deltek Costpoint

- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite

- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)

- Familiarity with Bill of Material (BOM) and Costpoint Manufacturing Orders

- Experience with consumable storage and accountability

- ESD Processes & Procedures

- Electronic component handling requirements

The pay range for this role is $45,500.00 - $82,250.00.
