## Description

Leidos is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Antarctic Support Contract (ASC) team, supporting the United States Antarctic Program. The Electrical Engineer will design and coordinate electrical systems for three Antarctic stations and additional field camps.

**This is a remote role, but deployment to Antarctica may be necessary.**

The successful candidate will have a recognised Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college and a Professional licensure in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of eight years of relevant professional experience.

**Responsibilities:**

- Lead the design of MV/LV power distribution systems, including power generation, microgrids, and renewable energy integration.

- Serve as the Engineer of Record (PE) for electrical discipline project submittals and technical reviews.

- Develop electrical sizing calculations and define specifications for electrical equipment.

- Integrate packaged equipment into overall system design and support development of detailed design drawings.

- Apply industry codes and standards to design engineering.

**Required Qualifications:**

- Recognised Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited college in Electrical Engineering.

- Professional licensure in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of eight years of relevant professional experience.

- US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

- Demonstrated experience with Electrical Engineering principles and procedures.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Preferred Electrical Engineering PE, with Power emphasis.

- Experience with electrical design in extremely cold environments or in remote regions.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.

- Knowledge of CAD design packages including Revit.

**Pay Range:** $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
