## Description

We are seeking a Mining Site Restoration and Closure Engineer to join our team in Montréal, QC, Canada.

As an intermediate mining site restoration engineer, you will work on complex multidisciplinary projects combining technical performance, environmental protection, and safety.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Contributing to the realization of mining site restoration and closure projects from conceptual study to construction.

- Developing and revising restoration plans that meet regulatory and environmental requirements.

- Conducting and interpreting 2D numerical modeling in geotechnical and hydrogeological contexts.

- Collaborating on multidisciplinary studies integrating geotechnics, geochemistry, hydrology, and environment.

- Writing, revising, and signing technical reports, plans, and specifications.

- Supporting fieldwork and providing technical support during construction and monitoring.

- Mentoring junior engineers.

- Prioritizing health and safety and acting as a role model for colleagues.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geological, or Mining Engineering (or related field).

- Intermediate experience in the mining sector, particularly in site restoration or closure.

- Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ) or eligible for registration.

- Experience in managing technical mandates, schedules, and budgets.

- Excellent technical writing skills.

- Experience in soil mechanics, hydrogeology, or laboratory work (desirable).

- Availability for occasional travel to mining sites.

- Ability to work from any WSP office (Montréal, Québec, Abitibi, etc.).

Salary range:

- AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $89,800 - $118,900

- MB & ON: $81,900 - $112,800

- NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $81,100 - $107,700
