As a Food & Beverage Team Leader, you will have the opportunity to develop skills and experience in: - Guest service fundamentals and building a guest-first and freshness culture on your team - Food & Beverage business fundamentals, including department sales trends, freshness, food safety and quality, inventory management, item reliability, guest shopping patterns and pricing and promotions strategies - Planning department(s) daily/weekly workload to support Food & Beverage priorities and deliver sales goals - Leading a team of hourly team members, including skills in interviewing, training, coaching, evaluating, retaining and developing talent A typical day as a Food & Beverage Team Leader will include: - Consistently delivering guest experience commitments to create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience - Ensuring every team member understands, is trained, and consistently delivers on Target’s guest experience commitments and consistent operations - Actively observing and providing feedback, holding team members accountable while recognising great guest experience moments - Reviewing area guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, taking action to improve, and aligning team on the right behaviours and execution - Understanding sales goals, planning and executing daily/weekly workload to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement - Leading a guest-focused, efficient Food & Beverage team that strives to deliver the Food & Beverage standards - Assessing backroom and sales floor areas of Food & Beverage and Food Service on a daily basis - Establishing clear goals and expectations and holding team members accountable to those expectations - Being a partner to the store leadership team through communication and collaboration - Maintaining a fresh, full and food safe area during all operating hours - Assigning daily tasks to team members based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns - Validating and following up on team members’ progress against their assigned prioritised workload tasks - Leading and demonstrating a culture of executing all best practices - Leading team huddles to communicate focuses and trends - Developing and maintaining partnerships with vendors - Supporting guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up and Drive-up - Supporting the hiring and onboarding process of new team members - Upholding and maintaining all Starbucks and Pizza Hut Brand Standards - Demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance - Leading and demonstrating a safety culture - Modelling the execution of physical security processes - Supporting merchandise protection strategies - Demonstrating inclusivity - Following all safe and secure training and processes - Occasionally assuming store-level leadership on duty responsibilities - Addressing all store emergency and compliance requirements We are looking for someone who: - Enjoys interacting and helping others - Thrives in a fast-moving, highly active and physically demanding role - Is open to working a variable work schedule with varying hours, days or shifts - Has previous retail and/or food experience, although not required - Has strong interest and knowledge of the Food & Beverage business - Can lead and hold others accountable - Can communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment - Can work independently and as part of a team - Can manage workload and prioritise tasks independently - Is capable of remaining focused and composed in a fast-paced environment - Has a welcoming and helpful attitude towards all guests and other team members - Has effective communication skills Benefits Eligibility: Please visit https://tgt.biz/BenefitsForYou_C to learn about benefits eligibility for this role. ## Skills ### Required - guest service - food safety - inventory management - leadership - communication ### Nice to have - retail experience - food experience - leadership experience --- Source: [Apply at target.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com](https://target.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/targetcareers/job/3375-E-State-St-HermitagePA-16148/Food---Beverage-Team-Leader---Hermitage--PA_R0000476446?utm_source=yubhub.co&utm_medium=jobs_feed&utm_campaign=apply)
