## Description

We are seeking a Food Service Worker to join our team at Intermountain Health Cedar City Hospital.

As a Food Service Worker, you will perform a variety of food and guest service duties under general supervision. This role includes patient meal tray assembly and delivery, cashier, food assembly, food serving, and cleaning.

**Responsibilities:**

- Deliver and present trays to patients using the standard process.

- Prepare food according to system standards, including assembling ingredients for salads, sandwiches, vegetables, and fruit.

- Follow standardised practices relating to Nutrition Services, such as maintaining required stock levels.

- Perform housekeeping functions, including cleaning and sanitising surfaces, floor care, and equipment.

- Process cash and credit transactions accurately and resolve basic customer service issues.

**Requirements:**

- Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification is required by the first day of work.

- One or more year of experience in customer service, food service, or patient service is preferred.

- Ability to work with modified diets and provide exceptional customer service is preferred.

**Physical Requirements:**

- Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, and monitors.

- Frequent interactions with customers that require communication and understanding of spoken information.

- Manual dexterity to manipulate complex equipment with precision and accuracy.

- Expected to lift and utilise full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment.

- Remain standing for long periods of time.

**Schedule:**

- PRN, on-call, or as needed.

- Availability needed: Sunday-Saturday for 3 8-hour shifts between 6am-10:30pm.

- Weekend shift assignments are required.

**Pay Rate:** $17.68 - $22.99 per hour, based on experience.
