## Description

We are seeking an experienced Communications Officer to join our Corporate Communications team at South Yorkshire Police. As a Communications Officer, you will play an active role in the full spectrum of communications, including campaigns, internal communication, digital media, and PR.

The role involves promoting the work of South Yorkshire Police through various channels, developing positive relationships with stakeholders, managing media enquiries, providing tactical communications advice, and planning communications strategies.

**Skills and Experience:**

- Degree holder or equivalent experience in Communications or Journalism

- Extensive knowledge and experience in traditional and digital media

- Sound knowledge of legislation impacting media coverage and criminal justice procedures

- Experience working in a fast-paced communications or media environment
