## Description

We are seeking a Vice President, Securitized Products CRE Attorney to join our Securitized Products Legal team in the Americas. The successful candidate will provide primary legal support to businesses involved in various commercial real estate-backed transactions, including CMBS issuance and underwriting, CRE mortgage loan origination, CRE whole loan repo financing and CMBS securities trading.

Responsibilities:

- Provide legal advice relating to offering materials, underwriting/purchase agreements, warehouse repurchase agreements, engagement letters, legal opinions and confidentiality agreements

- Advise the Barclays transaction committees in the Americas and work with business personnel across Securitized Products within the Investment Bank

- Adhere to and advise the relevant businesses on regulatory developments and legal issues that arise relating to securitization/structured finance

- Assist the businesses in managing legal risks of the firm’s transactions and activities in the relevant coverage area and coordinate regularly with the Risk and Compliance departments

Requirements:

- US securities and securitization legal expertise

- Legal and regulatory risk management skills

- Experience in relevant securitization coverage areas and Legal experience

- The ability to clearly articulate multi-layered concepts and ideas

- Excellent written and verbal English language skills
