As the Senior Manager of Packaging Engineering Operations, you will work within the Supply Chain team to develop and maintain packaging optimization and compliance. This is a proactive, high-impact role in securing critical components, materials, and services that protect and transport products.

**Responsibilities**

- Develop and execute strategies for packaging operations and engineering, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and supply chain resilience.

- Partner with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain to design packaging that protects high-value and sensitive technology during transport, storage, and deployment.

- Implement End-to-End packaging management measures and audits to ensure accuracy and mitigate packaging issues.

- Lead the design of internal packaging solutions for delivering and presenting parts to the production line.

- Partner with the Engineering team, Supply Chain, and Contract Manufacturers to influence technical design specs and customize product and manufacturing requirements.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support prototype requirements, execute against build milestones, and lead sourcing activities.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to aid in accurate demand forecasting, procurement planning, and timely delivery of packaging and materials.

- Analyze packaging usage trends, identify opportunities for process improvements, and implement lean practices to optimize material handling, storage, and distribution.

- Utilize ERP & WMS software systems and tools to track packaging inventory and provide data-driven insights.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and quality control protocols in all material management activities.

- Lead and develop a high-performing warehouse team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.

**Requirements**

- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field.

- 10+ years of experience in supply chain management of complex hardware packaging and/or sourcing engineering.

- 3+ years of experience managing and developing a team of direct reports.

- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

- Ability to relocate to Costa Mesa, CA.

**Preferred Qualifications**

- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or materials engineering.

- Previous experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, high tech, or related industry.

- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, inventory management techniques, and material planning strategies.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Proficiency in using software systems and tools.

- Solid understanding of lean principles and experience in implementing process improvement initiatives.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance standards related to packaging compliance and material management activities.
