## Description

Leidos Defense is seeking Software Engineers at various career levels to join a highly talented RF Systems Portfolio team located in Huntsville, AL. This portfolio supports radar design, hardware builds, algorithm development, software development, hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) testing, and weapons system analysis across a diverse range of research, development, and operational programs.

**Primary Responsibilities**

In this role, assignments may focus on one or more of the following areas:

- Design, develop, test, and maintain software using Agile methodologies.

- Develop tactical software for Leidos Defense radar systems.

- Create modeling, simulation, and analysis toolsets supporting:

- Algorithm development

- Requirements development

- System testing

- Prototype radar system development

- Test, analyze, and debug complex software systems across multiple architectures and operating systems.

- Collaborate in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment supporting advanced RF and radar technologies.

**Basic Qualifications**

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field from an ABET-accredited institution with a 3.0 GPA or higher plus 2 - 4 years of experience in software development or engineering OR Master's degree with less than 2 years of experience.

- Strong understanding of:

- Object-oriented design

- Data structures

- Network communications

- Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills.

- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced technical environment.

- Must be a US citizen, possess an active secret clearance or able to obtain and maintain an active secret clearance.

- Must reside in the Huntsville, AL area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.

**Preferred Qualifications**

- Experience with:

- C++

- Python

- Linux

- Git

- MATLAB

- Familiarity with radar systems is a plus.

The pay range for this job level is $87,100.00 - $157,450.00.
