## Description

We are seeking an experienced capital markets lawyer to join Practical Law's Capital Markets & Corporate Governance team in the US.

Practical Law is a leading online know-how service providing expert-created, practical maintained content to help legal professionals work smarter and advise with confidence.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Researching, drafting, and maintaining clear, current, and practical legal know-how content for Practical Law and other Thomson Reuters products and initiatives.

- Monitoring legal, practice, and market developments impacting securities offerings.

- Using your legal expertise to support the development of customer-focused AI-powered tools.

- Partnering with Product Management to innovate on tech development and product enhancements.

- Establishing and maintaining relationships with external law firm contributors and industry groups.

**Required Qualifications:**

- JD required.

- Minimum of eight years' experience working as a lawyer in a law firm or in-house with a significant amount of experience working on private and public debt and equity securities offerings.

- Strong technical skills and the ability to effectively utilize various tools, including generative AI technologies.

- Understand current market issues and proposals to enact, amend, or change laws and regulations impacting US private and public companies.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Experience representing both issuers and underwriters.

- Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility to work on diverse projects and tasks within the generative AI space.

- Deep curiosity about the increasing intersection of AI and legal practice.
