## Description

Join IQVIA, The Human Data Science Company, as a Technical Support Specialist. You will manage and coordinate the qualification and deployment of systems, collaborate with business leaders and end-users, and provide technical support and consulting.

Responsibilities:

- Manage and coordinate the qualification and deployment of systems

- Collaborate with business leaders, end-users, and IT departments to develop support strategies

- Provide technical support, consulting, and system-related cost-benefit analysis

- Assist in vendor and product selection, and identify new technologies

- Provide Level 3 support services for regional and global business applications

- Serve in a lead capacity for Product Support Specialists

- Define deliverables, costs, benefits, and ROI information

- Provide support for bid defenses and proposals

- Improve and document technical processes around application support

- Collaborate with Account Managers on change requests and troubleshooting

- Produce and assist training and communication programs

- Handle late-night and weekend emergency support on a rotational basis

- Interact with software vendors, Infrastructure services, and Applications Development

- Communicate IT issues to business units at various levels of seniority

- Manage and coordinate the implementation of internal, external, and off-the-shelf business applications

- Coordinate validation activities related to deployment

- Manage and support vendor contracts

- Work closely with customers to identify business requirements and opportunities

- Identify and assess technologies, skills, and resources required

- Maintain knowledge of the IT industry and recommend potential solutions

- Support evaluations and procurement of new hardware

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology

- 5-7 years of business experience

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently

- Solid technical background and experience in Data Lake and Big Data Application

- Experience with Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, and other technologies

- Experience in deploying/configuring/analyzing Apache Kafka, StreamSets Data Collector, Spark, Cloudera Enterprise Data Hub, Trifacta

- Experience in Hadoop HDFS, Hive, Hbase, Sqoop, Nosql, Kudu

- Experience in Machine Learning and analytical skills

- Windows 2008-12 server experience

- Oracle experience querying DB for troubleshooting

- Relational database experience

- System deployment/implementation expertise

- Exemplary written and verbal skills and good leadership and mentoring skills
