## Description

The Defence Nuclear Organisation (DNO) is responsible for the provision of the nuclear deterrent, encompassing submarines and nuclear warheads, while advising on UK nuclear planning and fostering international co-operation on nuclear matters.

The DNO-WHG-Capability & Strategy Business Case & Change Manager role is based in Bristol, with potential hybrid working arrangements. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operation of Warhead Group Category C/D investment approvals and portfolio change control governance.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading the operation of the WHG Approvals Panel and managing the Category C/D investment approvals pipeline

- Reviewing and challenging Category C/D business cases and supporting evidence

- Coordinating approvals activity across WHG

- Producing and maintaining governance outputs

- Maintaining oversight of approval decisions, actions, risks, and dependencies

- Acting as WHG functional lead and gatekeeper for change control

- Reviewing, challenging, and quality assuring Change Control Notes (CCNs)

- Managing and maintaining the WHG Change Control Log and associated governance records

- Providing secretariat support to the Change Control Board

- Producing management information and reporting

- Analysing approvals and change activity

- Providing expert advice and guidance to project teams, capability managers, and senior leaders

- Building and maintaining effective relationships across WHG, DNO, AWE, and wider Defence

- Driving continuous improvement across investment approvals and change control processes

The salary for this role is GBP 46,040 per year.

Desirable qualifications and skills include:

- Nuclear Weapon Foundation Course (NSQEP - Accredited Course)

- Project delivery practitioner qualification

- Experience of investment approvals, business case assurance, or governance processes
