## About the Role

The Network Engineering team at xAI handles a dynamic, constantly growing and evolving global network that provides a reliable, high-performance and secure network behind one of the few products in the world that touches over 1 billion people. You will be a Network Engineer who is proficient with the fundamentals, and eager to grow your skills on a global network. You are a motivated pragmatic thinker, eager to get the job done while finding a balance between shipping and quality.

## Responsibilities

- Define configuration and architecture standards

- Contribute to the qualification of new platforms

- Provision network devices in corporate offices and POPs as per documented procedures

- Manage corporate circuits

- Improve configuration standards and operational procedures

- Enhance corporate device monitoring

- Liaise with third parties, IT, and remote office users to resolve issues

- Create and execute scheduled changes, processes, and documentation

- Participate in on-call rotation

- Maintain and upgrade existing systems, including firmware updates and configurations

- Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability

- Troubleshoot network hardware and software problems

## Basic Qualifications

- Understand BGP configuration and management

- Knowledge of backbone and datacenter networks

- Familiarity with wireless technologies

- Understanding of internal routing protocols, configuration, and day-to-day operation

- Knowledge of corporate networking

- Understanding of TCP/IP

- Knowledge of remote access

- Strong documentation and communication skills

## Preferred Skills and Experience

- Familiarity with multiple networking vendors, such as Juniper, Cisco, Aruba, Arista

- Experience with remote access

- Knowledge of network security and NAC

- Scripting and automation of network operations activities
