## Description

Join our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team at Salesforce, where you work alongside Infrastructure and Research and Development partners to keep Salesforce cloud services available for customers around the clock.

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will monitor customer-facing services and respond to Severity 0 and Severity 1 incidents, leading technical reviews and contributing to root cause analyses.

Responsibilities:

- Monitor customer-facing services and respond to Severity 0 and Severity 1 incidents

- Automate the detection and resolution of recurring production issues to reduce repetitive manual work

- Contribute to compliance, resiliency, and self-healing initiatives, including destructive testing and resiliency drills

- Partner with and mentor teammates to stay current on industry technology and drive team development

Requirements:

- Experience in enterprise-scale internet service engineering or support

- Hands-on experience using the command line on Unix variants, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux

- Experience with Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) networking technologies and protocols

- Experience with incident management in a 24/7 environment

- Write scripts in Python, Go, or similar languages and have experience provisioning and operating Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure

Preferred qualifications:

- Solid understanding of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) service operations

- Experience with configuration management tools such as Chef or Puppet, and pipeline tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or Spinnaker

- Hands-on experience supporting and managing Kubernetes-based applications and services

- Certifications in Linux+, Red Hat, or AWS

- Familiarity with Agile processes and DevOps practices
