## Description

Salesforce is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to serve as the operating partner to the CEO of Missionforce, a high-growth business unit that brings Salesforce's trusted AI, data, apps, and cloud technology to governments' most critical missions around the globe.

The COO will be responsible for designing and standing up the operating model for Missionforce, including strategy execution, cross-functional alignment, and the rhythm of the business. The COO will own how the business scales, ensuring growth, delivery, and compliance are in alignment.

Key responsibilities include:

- Designing and standing up the operating model for Missionforce

- Building repeatable processes for planning, forecasting, and reporting

- Setting up tools, data, and metrics for performance tracking

- Driving accountability for results across Sales, Product, Engineering, Services, Marketing, and Operations

- Leading organizational design, headcount and resource planning, and talent strategy

- Partnering with Finance on budget, forecasting, and investment decisions

- Improving productivity, unit economics, and operating margin

- Working with sales, partner, and services leaders on pipeline health, deal strategy, and customer outcomes

- Building compliance into business operations

- Serving as a senior voice with executives across Salesforce and government stakeholders

- Building and mentoring a high-performing operations team

Requirements:

- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in a large technology company

- Proven record of scaling a high-growth business or business unit

- Strong executive presence and analytical skills

- Experience leading through ambiguity and building new functions, processes, and teams

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred qualifications:

- Deep understanding of the public sector, federal government, national security, or defense ecosystem

- U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain one

The typical base salary range for this position is $371,000 - $431,000 annually.
