## Description

We are seeking a Head of Public Policy, Israel, to lead Wolt's public policy function in Israel. As part of the DoorDash International Public Policy team, you will work closely with global centres of excellence, cross-functional partners, and local business leadership.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement Wolt Israel's public policy strategy, identifying regulatory risks, legislative threats, and business opportunities.

- Build and maintain senior relationships with government officials, regulators, and Knesset members to advance legislation supporting responsible growth of the platform economy.

- Engage with regulatory authorities as Wolt scales in Israel.

- Foster relationships with mayors and municipal leadership to protect and strengthen Wolt's operating environment.

- Identify new business opportunities requiring public policy engagement.

- Support the introduction of new technologies relevant to Wolt's business.

- Collaborate with the Communications team to align public policy positioning and public perception.

- Manage external public policy agencies and advisors.

- Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including the U.S. Embassy.

Requirements:

- 12+ years of public policy experience in the public or private sector.

- Degree in law, public policy, political science, or a related field; master's degree preferred.

- Established network and credibility with senior Israeli government officials, regulators, and Knesset members.

- Experience with labor and platform-economy policy issues.

- Ability to operate independently at a senior level, setting strategy and representing the company externally.

- Fluent Hebrew and strong professional English, with the ability to translate Israel-specific context for a global audience.
