## Description

We're looking for a Bodily Injury Adjuster to join our team in Norfolk, VA. As a Bodily Injury Adjuster, you will adjust third-party General Liability, Auto Liability, Errors and Omissions, and Law Enforcement claims involving bodily injury, personal injury, or wrongdoing.

This is a full-time, home-based role that may require occasional travel for claims meetings, seminars, or scene investigations.

## Key Responsibilities

- Review and manage your workflow and claim system reminders daily, making significant progress on tasks within 72 hours

- Review new claims assignments within 24 hours and complete a Plan of Action

- Contact insured/claimant within 24 hours of assignment

- Gather evidence, interview claimants and witnesses, and request payment authorization according to client guidelines

- Determine attorney involvement and communicate professionally with clients

- Meet continuing education requirements and maintain a 95% claim closure ratio

- Report to excess carriers and handle summons and complaints

## Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

- College degree or equivalent experience

- Adjuster license and CEU credits

- Knowledge of tort law, bad faith procedures, and liability principles

- Experience with bodily injury claims and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

- Excellent communication and time management skills

- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
