CVS Health is looking for a Sr Analyst, Pharmacy Underwriter to support new business and renewal case specific ASC (self-insured) Pharmacy Pricing, and develop financial offers that are both competitive and profitable.

The ideal candidate will anticipate customer needs and requirements, facilitate and negotiate using tact and diplomacy, and be involved in training, projects, and mentoring others.

**Responsibilities**

- Identify training issues and recommend a course of action

- Lead process improvement initiatives to improve productivity, accuracy and customer service

- Provide superior customer service

- Mentor and train underwriting staff

- Ensure team members have the information to do their jobs

- Understand, apply and explain company services, product standards, underwriting policies, strategic direction and new initiatives

- Grant underwriting exceptions and financial variances within prescribed limits

- Manage and participate on assigned projects

- Participate in broker/customer meetings

- Utilize knowledge of competition and competitive position to evaluate risk and maximize profitability

- Negotiate and explain rate development and application of underwriting policy

- Analyze problems or issues from different points of view to find the optimal solution

- Evaluate and manage complex and high visibility cases

- Assist team in meeting deadlines

- Deliver quality financial products for new and renewal business

- Build strong cross-functional relationships with sales force and other internal organizations

**Required Qualifications**

- 3 years of relevant work experience

- 2-3 years of Pharmacy Underwriting experience

- Both underwriting and pharmacy experience

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of work experience

**Preferred Qualifications**

- Extensive knowledge of the Aetna systems supporting ASC Pharmacy pricing methodology

- Risk Assessment/Analysis, Communication, Negotiation, Adaptability
