## Description

Okta is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to create customer-centred technical content. As a collaborative and creative team member, you will work with a global network of engineers, product managers, and customer success professionals to develop practical technical content that guides Okta customers in adopting and deploying our solutions.

**Responsibilities**

- Design, develop, edit, and deliver accurate and effective developer and admin documentation for Okta products.

- Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Design, QA, Support, and Information Development teams to ensure content quality and accuracy.

- Follow documentation guidelines to produce high-quality content.

- Prioritise and multitask projects while supporting multiple engineering teams.

- Review API documentation with developers.

- Analyse customer feedback to enhance content depth, quality, and relevance.

**Requirements**

- 4+ years of experience writing technical documentation for Cloud or Enterprise products.

- Practical experience with topic-based writing, minimalism, and simplifying complex tasks.

- Experience writing SDK, CLI, REST APIs, and developer tools documentation.

- Experience writing customer-facing documentation and release notes.

- Proficiency with Markdown, code editors, and source code control tools like Git and GitHub.

- Experience with Oxygen or similar DITA authoring tools.

- Familiarity with GenAI tools like Claude, Gemini, or ChatGPT.

**Nice to Have**

- Bachelor's degree or certificate in Technical Writing.

- Understanding of security products and use case-based content creation.

- Experience with AI-assisted tools for technical writing workflows.

- Familiarity with Redocly or API management and publishing platforms.

- Knowledge of programming languages like JavaScript, Python, React, or Angular.

- Experience with Okta or similar identity and access management solutions.
