## Description

We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our Surgical Ward team at Spire Bushey Hospital on a bank contract. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will support registered nurses in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with personal care, monitoring and recording observations, ECGs, phlebotomy, manual handling and general ward support

- Provide exemplary patient care on the Surgical Ward

- Support nurses and clinicians in preparing patients for procedures

- Accurately document patient information and escalate concerns

- Offer reassurance and clear information to patients

- Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment

Requirements:

- Experience as a Healthcare Assistant or similar role in a hospital or clinical setting

- Surgical Ward experience is essential

- Private Hospital or NHS Hospital experience is essential

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Experience in ECGs, taking blood/blood pressures and patient observations

- Confidence in taking basic clinical observations and carrying out phlebotomy procedures

- Ability to work flexibly across shifts, including weekdays and weekends

- Compassionate, reliable and professional approach to patient care

- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
