We're opening a new R&D center in Vancouver, Canada, and we're looking for world-class engineers to join us. The Vancouver site will be a key driver of product innovation at Databricks.

We have several teams with open roles, including:

- Log Analytics: analyzing petabyte-scale logs in real-time

- AI/BI: redefining Business Intelligence for the AI age

- Unity Catalog Business Semantics: governing and managing context for enterprise data

- Databricks Apps: building and maintaining a platform for creating and running apps

Responsibilities:

- You will work towards a multi-year vision with incremental deliverables

- You will be motivated by delivering customer value and impact

- You will have 10+ years of production-level experience in Java, Scala, or C++

- You will have a strong foundation in algorithms and data structures

- You will have experience developing large-scale distributed systems

- You will have experience working on a SaaS platform or with Service-Oriented Architectures

- You will have experience with cloud technologies, security, and systems that handle sensitive data

- You will have good knowledge of SQL

Pay Range Transparency: The pay range for this role is $173,400 - $238,350 CAD. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors, including job-related skills, depth of experience, and specific work location.
