As a Senior Financial Control Analyst, you will play a key role in our Financial Control Team, ensuring the accuracy of our financial ledger and providing insightful management commentary. You will work closely with the finance team and product teams to drive business growth and optimize financial control processes.

Responsibilities:

- Manage the month-end close process and group consolidation

- Write insightful management commentary

- Understand our accounting systems and minimize manual elements of reporting

- Improve and transform processes, driving incremental improvements

- Learn SQL skills to run reports and propose solutions

- Support our year-end process working with external auditors

- Help review new products and assess their accounting implications

- Maintain the integrity of our chart of accounts and financial static data

- Resolve miscellaneous inquiries and support the overall finance team

Requirements:

- Qualified accountant with 2+ years of post-qualification experience

- Strong understanding of technical accounting standards

- Great eye for detail

- Experience in a retail banking environment

- Self-starter with a commercial mindset

- Comfortable with data analysis and SQL skills

- Embrace change and motivated to improve and innovate processes
