## Description

The London Borough of Redbridge is undergoing a significant transformation with ambitious regeneration plans, new infrastructure, and substantial investment on the way. As London's economic momentum shifts eastwards, Redbridge is well-positioned to attract inward investment, thanks to enhanced transport links, competitive land prices, and a pro-investment council.

As the Head of Economic Development, you will play a key leadership role in delivering this growth. Your primary responsibilities will include:

- Developing Redbridge's identity and profile as a great place to do business

- Overseeing the inward investment strategy and working with existing businesses to support their success and economic growth

- Collaborating with education and training providers to ensure the development of skills and expertise in the community

- Building local and regional networks and fostering positive relationships with funding bodies to identify and capitalise on opportunities

This role requires a tenacious approach, and you should have relevant professional experience in economic development, coupled with an understanding of the local context. You will have the opportunity to see the impact of your work quickly and be part of a significant regeneration and development hotspot.
