## Description

We are seeking a strategic and motivated Senior Proposals Manager to join our team at WSP UK & Ireland.

As a Senior Proposals Manager, you will play a pivotal role leading and managing the pursuit process, collaborating across teams to deliver high-quality client-focused proposals, from the initial capture planning process through the full bid lifecycle.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading and managing complex and high-value strategic bids

- Ensuring bid governance and review processes are followed

- Providing input to the strategic bid capture planning process

- Developing customized solutions with clients and Opportunity Directors

- Assisting in opportunity qualification

- Understanding internal and external customer requirements

- Challenging operational, technical, commercial, and financial proposals

- Working with bid authors and solution architects to convert knowledge into winning solutions

- Supporting lessons learned from bids

- Training and coaching colleagues on the bid process

- Collating market and competitor information

We are looking for someone who can:

- Provide leadership to appointed bids

- Work collaboratively with Opportunity Directors, bid colleagues, and operational managers

- Understand client needs and advise on solution quality and integration

- Build relationships quickly

- Convert knowledge into winning solutions

- Analyze bids to identify good practice

- Collate market and competitor information

Requirements include:

- Qualified to degree level in an appropriate subject

- APMP Foundation as a minimum

- Accurate and proficient working knowledge in Microsoft Office, Adobe suite, InDesign (desired), and graphics skills

- Previous experience in a similar role in engineering and construction

- Expert experience of producing tenders in the markets that WSP operates in

- An acknowledged senior bid manager with a demonstrable record of success in winning bids

- Good awareness and understanding of bid governance and bid review processes

- Expert bid writing and management skills, and commercial skills

- Thorough understanding of public and private procurement processes in the UK/Ireland

- Strong and effective verbal and written communication

- Robust project management skills with a meticulous approach to detail and quality

- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize

- Ability to assimilate large volumes of information

- Develop strong relationships and rapport with external clients and internal colleagues

- Excellent people skills to lead, encourage, motivate, and enthuse others

- A passion for quality and continuous improvement

- Confidence to delegate to all levels

- A strong use of oral and written English

- Exhibit and demonstrate behaviors and attitudes in accordance with WSP core values
