## Description

We are currently seeking a competent and skilled Machinist to join our team at McLaren Composites Technology Centre (MCTC).

As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating machinery, fixtures, and tooling safely and effectively to meet the production plan.

Key responsibilities include:

- Supporting the Team Leader with completion of minor maintenance tasks and activities, and potentially covering when the TL is offsite

- Upskilling and training of new hires

- Ensuring the work area is clean, tidy, and orderly at all times in line with brand expectations and maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and others

- Providing a proactive contribution to innovation and problem-solving

- Providing support on all processes in the department

To be successful in this role, you will require:

- A minimum of 2 years' working experience as a CNC Machinist with a proven record in CNC machine setting and operation

- Comprehensive understanding of industry standards and regulations to ensure guidelines are followed and machinery and equipment are operated safely

- Knowledge of Siemens control systems and CAM/CAD software is an advantage

- Developed proficiency in a range of processes or procedures through job-related training and considerable on-the-job expertise

- Extensive knowledge of CNC tooling, including tool wear and performance, and setting using pre-setters

- Comprehensive understanding of work offsets

- Experienced in calibration using DTI clocks

- Experienced in using measuring equipment, thread gauges, plug gauges, calipers, etc.

- Excellent problem-solving abilities

- Ability to inspect your own work and follow detailed engineering drawings

- PC literate
