## Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance - Level III (2nd shift) to join our team at Cummins Inc. in Jamestown, NY.

In this role, you will increase equipment availability by troubleshooting, repairing, assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems. You will also strengthen workplace safety, elevate workmanship and quality, reduce downtime and improve reliability, enhance operational efficiency, develop team capability, drive continuous improvement, and grow technical and professional strength.

Responsibilities:

- Troubleshoot, repair, assemble, install, and maintain mechanical systems

- Stop unsafe work, report hazards immediately, use proper PPE, and help build an interdependent safety culture

- Apply high standards of craftsmanship, follow diagrams and specifications precisely, perform quality inspections, and raise issues early

- Support failure analysis, document preventive and corrective maintenance, and provide feedback

- Schedule maintenance around production needs, identify and reduce manufacturing constraints, and keep work areas clean and organized

- Instruct and coach less-experienced team members, serve as an informal technical resource, and share best practices

- Solve problems collaboratively, improve processes, and participate actively in TPM initiatives

- Complete required training, expand mechanical and safety knowledge, and adapt to new tasks and technologies

Requirements:

- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience

- Significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience

- Collaborative mindset, ability to manage complexity, proactive health and safety habits, controls-safety awareness, strong manufacturing knowledge, technical discipline, structured problem-solving skills, adaptability, and continuous learning

- Machine repair journeyman certificate preferred

- $56,800 - $85,200 per year

- $2.29 shift premium in addition to base pay
