## Description

3M is seeking an Assembler to work at their Lexington, KY plant site. As an Assembler, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world.

The person hired for the position of Assembler will work on a full-time 1st shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with a starting rate of $19.67 and a top-out pay of $25.68. New hires start with 3 weeks' paid vacation, health, vision, and dental benefits starting on day one, an employee stock discount, and a 401K match of 5%.

The Assembler will be responsible for learning and performing basic electronic and/or mechanical assembly tasks, such as mini tubes and extended assemblies, following specific work instructions while under direct supervision. The tasks are completed by utilizing binding materials, potting powder, and small hand tools while working under a microscope to assemble the three basic training part types of well-defined nature.

Responsibilities:

- Complete required training and work closely with experienced operators to develop job proficiency.

- Read, interpret, and follow method sheets, blueprints, and standard work instructions.

- Perform assembly operations with minimal supervision while meeting quality and productivity standards.

- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to ensure products meet specifications and proper component fit.

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with plant standards.

- Follow all safety policies, wear required PPE, participate in training, and perform other duties as assigned.

Required qualifications:

- Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher completed and verified prior to start.

- Ability to work with small parts under a microscope for extended periods.

Preferred qualifications:

- Minimum one (1) year of manufacturing, production, or assembly experience.

- Experience using microscopes in a production or inspection environment.

- Experience with precision measuring tools such as calipers or micrometers.

- Experience assembling small or high-precision components.

- Familiarity with reading blueprints or working in controlled/cleanroom environments.

- Ability to read and follow written instructions, including method sheets and blueprints.

- Basic math skills, including four-function math and working with decimals.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify acceptable vs. non-conforming product.
