## Description

As a Lead Data Scientist at Faculty, you'll play a pivotal role in setting the technical direction and ensuring the high-quality delivery of complex, high-impact projects.

You'll be responsible for:

- Setting the technical direction for complex projects and balancing trade-offs between speed, innovation, and reliability.

- Designing and implementing reliable technical solutions and documenting architectures and specifications.

- Defining project problems, developing roadmaps, and overseeing delivery across multi-disciplinary workstreams.

- Leading technical scoping and feasibility studies for high-value sales opportunities and strategic customer engagements.

- Managing relationships with technical stakeholders and aligning technical solutions with commercial goals.

- Driving the adoption of best practices and robust technical processes across the Data Science craft.

- Mentoring and developing other data scientists and team members.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

- Proven project management expertise and ability to divide complex problems into actionable workstreams.

- Strong customer leadership skills and ability to act as a trusted technical advisor.

- Depth of expertise in at least one machine learning domain and strong technical breadth across the data science landscape.

- Skilled technical leadership and ability to mentor individuals and manage teams.

- Experience extending technical oversight to business unit-level initiatives and influencing organisational success.
