## Description

We are seeking a UI Scripter Intern to join our team at Criterion Games, a studio within Electronic Arts. As a UI Scripter Intern, you will focus on implementing the player's user interface within the game, following technical and artistic guidance. You will work in a cross-studio team with other UI Scripters, Designers, Artists, Engineers, and a Production team to build immersive interfaces.

Responsibilities:

- Implement the player's user interface within the game's visual scripting and layout engine

- Work with the team to build immersive interfaces

- Troubleshoot user interface issues

- Resolve technical challenges and limitations

Eligibility:

- Studying in your penultimate year of an undergraduate Bachelor's degree with a planned placement year ahead

- Available to commence a full-time, 12-month placement in July 2027

- Eligible to work in Guildford, UK without additional visa or relocation support

Skills:

- Experience in using visual scripting (e.g. Unreal Blueprints), scripting languages (e.g. Python, Lua), or general programming (C#, C++)

- Understanding of core user interface principles

- Experience in implementing and testing user interfaces

- Experience in troubleshooting user interface issues

- Ability to resolve technical challenges and limitations
