## Description

At Databricks, we're seeking a Lead Solutions Architect to join our Japan Public Sector team. As a senior technical leader, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the data and AI strategy for key public sector customers in Japan.

Your impact will be significant, as you will own the technical strategy for these customers, defining the target architecture and roadmap for their Databricks-based data and AI platform. You will also lead solution design for priority government use cases, such as citizen 360 and eligibility, program analytics, smart infrastructure, cybersecurity, and fraud/waste/abuse.

In addition, you will design for security and compliance, ensuring architectures meet public sector expectations on data residency, access control, governance, and auditability. You will turn pilots into platforms, linking Databricks to visible mission outcomes and using those wins to drive expansion across bureaus, departments, and levels of government.

As a mentor, you will coach Solutions Architects and partners on how to work effectively with Japan public sector stakeholders and patterns on the Databricks platform.

We're looking for someone with 10+ years of experience in data platforms, analytics, or cloud architecture, including significant experience with public sector organizations in Japan. You should have a proven ability to build trust with senior government stakeholders and lead high-stakes technical discussions in Japanese.

You should also have a strong technical background in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing/Analytics, AI/ML, or Cloud Architecture, with a focus on solution design and platforms. Experience architecting data and analytics solutions for public sector use cases is essential.
