## Description

Grab is Southeast Asia's leading superapp, providing various services such as food delivery, financial management, and transportation.

You will be part of the Backend Engineering - Routing Efficiency team, which focuses on building routing/navigation/ETA capabilities for different business verticals.

Key responsibilities:

- Design and implement highly reliable and scalable distributed microservice systems

- Continuously optimize and iterate experience issues in key business indicators, such as ETA and routing

- Maintain the stability and cost of the most critical online services in the team

- Collaborate with cross-team stakeholders to ship world-class products

- Participate in code and design reviews to maintain high development standards

Required qualifications:

- Strong foundation in Computer Science fundamentals

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development with proficiency in one or more major programming languages

- Demonstrated experience building web systems using relational databases, caching solutions, NoSQL databases, and application servers

- Solid understanding of clean architecture principles and ability to write extensible, maintainable code

- Experience with version control systems and collaborative development workflows

- Proficiency in designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices

- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred qualifications:

- Experience solving concurrency and consistency problems in large-scale distributed systems

- Familiarity with containerization technologies and modern DevOps practices

- Experience with automated testing frameworks and test-driven development

- Knowledge of system design patterns and architectural best practices

- Exposure to performance optimization and scalability challenges
