## Description

This is an exciting opportunity to deepen CoCounsel’s capabilities for one of the highest-value workflows in the legal market: transactional practice. CoCounsel is Thomson Reuters’ generative AI platform for legal professionals, already trusted across law firms for research, drafting, and review.

As Senior Director, Product Management – Transactional Use Cases, you will own the discovery and definition of what CoCounsel needs to become for deal lawyers. You will work closely with transactional attorneys, translate customer needs into a prioritized roadmap, and lead a team of product managers to turn that roadmap into shipped product.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Own the roadmap: Define and own the transactional use case roadmap for CoCounsel, translating insights from deal lawyers, practice group leaders, and firm innovation teams into a focused and deliverable plan.

- Understand the customer: Develop deep understanding of where transactional teams lose time and face risk across the deal lifecycle, from diligence through closing.

- Lead the team: Manage and grow a team of two to three product managers, setting priorities, reviewing work, and developing strong product judgment.

- Shape the product: Identify opportunities beyond obvious automation and develop use cases that solve meaningful problems for deal teams.

- Deliver across the business: Partner with Engineering, Design, Marketing, and go-to-market teams to move transactional use cases from concept through launch.

- Represent the customer: Bring the transactional customer perspective into roadmap and prioritization decisions.

**Required Qualifications**

- 5+ years of experience as a deal lawyer at an AmLaw 100 firm, with hands-on transactional experience in areas such as M&A, finance, capital markets, real estate, or similar.

- Comfort working with generative AI and modern product tooling.

- Ability to engage credibly with Engineering teams about what is realistic and feasible to build; coding experience is not required.

- Strong creative instincts and customer empathy.

**Benefits**

- Hybrid Work Model: Flexible hybrid working environment for office-based roles.

- Flexibility & Work-Life Balance: Supportive workplace policies, including work from anywhere for up to 8 weeks per year.

- Career Development and Growth: Culture of continuous learning and skill development.

- Industry Competitive Benefits: Comprehensive benefit plans, including flexible vacation, two company-wide Mental Health Days off, access to the Headspace app, retirement savings, tuition reimbursement, and more.

- Social Impact: Opportunities to make an impact in the community, including two paid volunteer days off annually.

**Salary** The base compensation range for this role is:

- $181,400 USD - $337,000 USD (for eligible office locations in the US)

- $157,500 USD - $292,500 USD (for eligible US locations)

- $172,000 CAD - $222,000 CAD (for Ontario, Canada)
