## Description

We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join the Breast Care team at Spire Cardiff Hospital.

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring patients receive high-quality care in a safe, professional, and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities:

- Support the delivery of care to meet patients' health and wellbeing needs

- Assist Breast Care Nurses and Radiologists in delivering a high-quality service

- Ensure the ultrasound room is clean, safe, and prepared for patient appointments

- Maintain breast care trolleys, ensuring they are clean and appropriately stocked

- Keep the Breast Register accurate and up to date

- Undertake stock-taking activities and support effective stock management within the department

- Manage routine communication with colleagues, patients, and external contacts via telephone and email

- Support infection prevention, clinical governance, risk management, and health and safety practices within the department

Requirements:

- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is essential

- Previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant within a clinical healthcare setting

- Previous experience within a Breast Care, Breast Clinic, Breast Imaging, or Mammography environment is preferred

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Compassionate, professional, and patient-focused approach

- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
