## Description

The Utah County Health Department seeks a Health Educator II to prevent avoidable disease and injury and promote health by monitoring the health of the community and assuring conditions in which people can be healthy.

**The Opportunity:** Under general guidance and direction of the assigned supervisor, assists, develops, designs, monitors, coordinates, evaluates, and administers health education and prevention activities in Utah County. Performs complex clerical, technical, and other required work at the full performance level.

**Responsibilities:**

- Assist in developing, designing, and implementing health education programs

- Coordinate and evaluate health education activities

- Administer health education and prevention activities

- Perform complex clerical and technical work

**Requirements:**

- Bachelor's degree in Health, Community Health, Health Promotion, Public Health, or a closely related field

- Four years of work experience in public health, or a related field

- A completed, related master's degree may be substituted for two years of health education work experience
