## Job Overview

As an Integration Engineer on Stripe's Professional Services team, you'll work on high-visibility projects, providing technical expertise to help enterprises integrate with Stripe.

## Responsibilities

- Plan and execute integration engineering projects end-to-end, from architecture to code implementation.

- Serve as primary technical point of contact for large users and partners, resolving integration issues and owning escalations.

- Lead strategic technical conversations, explaining how Stripe works and managing user expectations.

- Collaborate with Sales, Solution Architecture, and Implementation teams to drive user engagement and commercial outcomes.

- Work closely with Product and Engineering to surface potential enhancements and new features.

- Provide deep technical support and debugging, inspecting the Stripe codebase and building proof-of-concept integrations.

- Lead hands-on keyboard implementations, providing feedback on coding practices and software architecture.

- Review and optimise existing user integrations, recommending improvements to performance, reliability, and efficiency.

- Build tools and analytics to support user business reviews and operational needs.

- Develop reusable processes and shared knowledge for the Professional Services team.

## Requirements

- 4+ years of experience in software engineering or integration engineering.

- Proficiency in languages like Go, Java, C/C++.

- Strong generalist technical background, including SQL and data structures.

- Understanding of the payments domain and API security principles.

- Ability to lead technical conversations and explain complex concepts clearly.

- User-first mindset with ability to map business requirements to technical solutions.

## Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in customer-facing technical roles like solutions engineering or technical consulting.

- Experience mentoring engineers or guiding technical teams.

- Demonstrated ability to apply structured methodologies.

- Strong technical writing skills.

- Track record of resolving ambiguous technical problems.
