## Description

We are looking for a Lead Substation Engineer to join our team. As a Lead Substation Engineer at Leidos, you will play a key role in executing substation physical and/or P&C projects. Your primary responsibilities will include performing quality control checks on substation design projects, reading and designing substation design drawings, creating and checking bills of materials, and completing project lifecycle support from scoping to final design and implementation.

You will be expected to have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with internal teams and clients to meet project needs. You will also be required to apply the minimum requirements of the National Electrical Safety Code to design processes and work with client standards to implement design.

As a Lead Substation Engineer, you will be a member of a design team comprised of engineers, designers, and CAD technicians. You will work with a designer/drafter to create the required drawings for each project and occasionally attend site visits at customer locations and the Framingham Leidos office for collaboration with the team.

To be successful in this role, you must have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field with eight or more years of related substation design experience. You must also demonstrate excellent communication skills, the ability to meet deadlines under pressure, and strong analytical skills.
