## Description

ENOVA, part of the IQVIA Health Communications Group, is seeking a Medical Director to serve as a senior scientific leader across client accounts, therapeutic areas, and organisational initiatives.

This role is ideal for a highly experienced medical or scientific leader who can shape strategic vision while remaining actively engaged in execution when needed. As a member of a highly collaborative leadership team, you will provide scientific leadership, develop talent, foster client partnerships, and ensure operational excellence across a diverse portfolio of programs and accounts.

The Director operates as a player-coach, balancing senior leadership responsibilities with hands-on scientific involvement to support successful client outcomes, team development, and business growth.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Provide strategic leadership and scientific direction across client accounts, therapeutic areas, and organisational initiatives.

- Lead, mentor, and develop Medical Directors, Scientific Directors, and medical writers, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and professional growth.

- Serve as a senior scientific advisor to clients, building trusted partnerships and shaping medical communication strategies that address evolving business and stakeholder needs.

- Maintain accountability for the scientific quality, accuracy, and strategic integrity of client deliverables across the portfolio.

- Oversee complex and high-impact initiatives, including product launches, advisory boards, speaker development programs, congress activities, publications, medical education, and strategic planning engagements.

- Partner with cross-functional leaders across account management, engagement strategy, project management, editorial, and creative teams to ensure seamless execution and successful delivery of client programs.

- Drive operational excellence by identifying risks, removing barriers, and ensuring effective allocation of scientific resources across projects and accounts.

- Contribute to business growth through strategic planning, proposal development, client relationship expansion, and new business opportunities.

- Provide leadership during project challenges, stepping in as needed to guide teams and ensure successful outcomes.

- Support talent acquisition, onboarding, succession planning, and workforce development initiatives.

- Represent ENOVA and IQVIA at key client meetings, advisory boards, congresses, and other external engagements.

**Qualifications:**

- PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent advanced scientific degree.

- Significant experience in medical affairs, medical communications, the pharmaceutical industry, or a related healthcare environment.

- Proven success leading and developing scientific teams within a fast-paced, client-focused organisation.

- Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple complex projects and scientific portfolios while maintaining exceptional quality standards.

- Strong client management and stakeholder engagement experience.

- Experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams and driving alignment among diverse stakeholders.

- Strong business acumen, including resource planning, operational effectiveness, and organisational growth.

- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

**Preferred Attributes:**

- Strategic thinker who can translate scientific insights into actionable client solutions.

- Comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels.

- Effective at influencing without direct authority.

- Passionate about talent development, scientific excellence, and client success.

- Thrives in a highly collaborative, matrixed environment.

**Travel Requirements:** Travel is required for client meetings, advisory boards, congresses, and on-site program support as needed.

**What You'll Earn:** The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $134,300.00 - $374,300.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time).
